Savannah is a wonderful walking town. It's also a town full of history, and, allegedly, spirits. This is one of the most dramatic tours we ever took. Orphanage fires, duels, hangings, madmen on the loose.. Savannah has had them all.
The walk is easy and covers about a mile altogether. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. No other place I've ever been has such a feeling of history as Savannah. And only Charleston, so far, as seemed so at home with its ghosts.

When we took this tour, the official tour guide was not available and we were not very impressed with the guide we had, but the tour itself was very interesting and the walk was beautiful. We learned some interesting things about pirates and some good ghost stories. There were some highly unusual noises which the guide told the kids who were present were cats. I don’t think so! My only complaints were that our guide really was not very friendly, and there were very young kids present. The mother of one of the kids kept telling her son that there’s no such thing as ghosts really the whole time. What’s the point of taking him on a ghost walk, then? But I would definitely say take this tour, if the official guide is available.
